Freemason Ring?

I found this partial ring on a 1879 battlefield. It's copper and the face resembles something like the freemason emblem. Any ideas?

It is a Freemasons ring, the logo is the "dividers and compass", it would have been given to a newly entered Master Mason as part of his regalia, if I tell you any more I will have to kill you, no offense meant  ;) ;D ;D Nice find that.

Most of them have a G, but this one looks too much like the freemason symble not to be one
