Was hoping this could go into a single thread  :-[

Was looking to see if I could identify ore. Some stuff caught my eye.

The Pictures in the differant threads where first taken dry and then wetted to show the reflections.

I'm not sure if the bigger lump above's metallic bits is metallic or crystaline illusion. The little one is magnetic and not rust prone it seems, I think it might be Nickel.

Don't have a detector... yet.

Whacked the lump. Figured out it was mica. No wonder it remined me of makeup.

The smaller fella is heavy pyrite. Might contain some platinum and nickel. Brittle but pretty tough and heavy.

I found the minneral's trude identity:Cummingtonite  ;D  (Mg,Fe)7Si8O22(OH)2
