As JamesK said, we worked through Thursday, so I made the most of my day off. A couple of firsts for me that really lit up my flu struck weekend.

Hey I love the coins and I see you found bits of a pocket watch. I have around 5 of those centre plates but you never find the rest of the watch....drives me crazy!!!

@Tony - same here the outer casings are never found. I assume that some were silver and for that reason not disposed of.

The little key - it might be as you said. The area where I dig now was frequented by diggers(of the diamond kind) some kind of culture and civility did prevail in the area as I pick up small sugar spoons as well as costume jewellery.

do you find lumps of lead in that area?

•   3 x GSB( KC) I found two in a marshy area, corroded to hell

•   US army great seal button Large – I have never seen one this big.

•   Big old padlock – looks like it needed a house key to open on the broadside
