Identify 2 items Found close to 2 silvers

Hi, guys, pls assist in identifying these two items, i found them both close to 2 sliver 2 1/2 shillings 1954 Elizabeth Regina 2 coins

I can only guess at the first one in that it might be some sort of button or brouch, but the second one , if I am seeing it correctly, goes on a belt and was used by soldiers in WWII
