Well, what can I say. The Lady truely delivered again today. First and foremost a word of gratitude to everyone that joined our hunt today. We ended up putting 5 machines in the field. Thanks to Darren and Shaun coming over from Jhb and Benoni. Also thanks to Tom and Eric here from Pta. We had a great day. Here are some pictures.

And so the hunt began.

What really took the cake was to see how an open piece of veld was able to bring 5 grown men to their knees. The lady was definately wearing the pants in this relationship today. When she said kneel, they knelt. Hehehehehe.

Darren taking the find of the day. A 1903 penny (Duiwel's Penny) pre dating the establishiment of Lady Selborne by 2 years. Well done Darren for now having found the Oldest coin in Selborne to date.

And then there was me finding a 1935 King Geoge Rex V penny.

Hey luuk. We definately had a blast. Like I said, we all should arrange informal hunts like this on a more frequent basis. I am contemplating of calling a monthly Lady Selborne hunt on the 1st or last weekend of every month for guys coming from abroad. I think it would definately be worth it. For the guys in Pretoaria, you are welcome to join me and Tom over weekends. We are in Selborne every Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday almost without exception. ;)

Hi James just want to say thanks to you and Tomcat for a fun filled day of detecting it was a blast I would recomend this to all detecting enthusiasts.  I managed to find an old police badge I was so chuffed trying to post a photo but phone giving problems will post it when I sort the problem out.  if all goes well hopefully see you this weekend. cheers.
