These prices are ridiculous. The price for an ATPro was 13000 at the end of December. They had a special then and I bought mine for R11600. Now I see they are retailing for R16416!!!!

ZAR/USD exchange rate will obviously play a big part as these are all imports from USA.

Expect a further price hike soon if the exchange rate keeps doing what its doing.

This is no fault of Garrett but rather our weak economy.

Paid R 8.5 k two years ago,Garret offer great value for money but R16 k for an At is crazy....we are at the end of the day talking about a lcd screen, a small circuit board,some buttons,some copper wire wrapped in plastic,a bent length of Ali tubing,a couple of water proof connectors and a plastic arm cuff!!!!....

Having said that....I would hate to be in the import market today as prices on imported goods have skyrocketed! ! . .I have only praise for the wonderful people at Doculam but conditions are as they are and there is no way on this earth that I would pay that kind of money for an At pro today....can just imagine what a Minelab will set you back....
