Found gold in the mountains.

  • on: June 30, 2014, 03:49 PM
Hi there guys.
I know of a piece of land that was tested by the Baberton mining commissioner back in the 198o's. the tests indicated that an excess of R30 000 000.00's would come from this 6000sm meter island.
This was the same land which my father in-law had worked and was stopped in after the first month. The land is still as he left it. You can still see the sections where he had taken the soil from to be tested and also the small area that he was mining. This is only a 5 x 10 meter holes and he had not even yet reached the bedrock. He recons bedrock is around 8 meters deep.
In the first month that he washed and sluiced the sand, he gained around 114kg gold. That was in one month only.

He took me to this site and I tested the soil with my pan. I could not believe that the half a pan of sand it took actually left me with 8 small flakes in the pan!!!

I made some phone calls and was told that this island now belongs to the forestry.

I wish I know how to get a legal way to get the gold out. If any one knows of someone who would be able to assist with this matter, I would greatly appreciate it.

Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach that person to use a metal detector and they won't bother you for weeks.
