Hi Retro. Unfortunately pinpointers are pretty expensive if you want a good one. Doculum were selling the Garrett for R1600 a little while ago, but I see the price is now about R2000. I am not too sure where you could get a secondhand one...

Hi Retro

I would not advise going for a seconhand pointer unless it is from a fully reliable source. Garret runs in the R 2000 range and Minelab in the range of R 2200 to R 2500. I don't know much about Garret as I have a Minelab Pointer. Can tell you though that Minelab has offered me excellent customer service. When my pointer packed up after a year, they replaced it for me free of charge. Also have a look at "The Gadget Shop". Sometimes they have pointers at discounted prices but is still authentic products. Just be carefull.....There is a lot of Grey (Fong-Kong) products out there. Buy only from reputable dealers.
