Detecting competition in PE

  • on: December 03, 2014, 06:24 AM
Does any one know about the competition that will be held in PE? I think it might be thi8s coming weekend. If so, then please send me a link the their website. I would like to ask that they make use of this blog so I can join them next time. It really sucks ass, they should have had a banner or at least placed an add here.
Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach that person to use a metal detector and they won't bother you for weeks.

Hey Tommy. Its not a competition just a get together as another detectorist is coming down from East London. At the moment there are only 4 of us. I think most of the guys are working.

I see. My dad is comming down from East London also. I think he is coming with a guy called Garry. My dad (father in-law) told me that you will be giving prizes for the oldest and also the most valuable object found. He also told me that it is a national competition... I'm not gona mention his name, but you will know him by the obvious long tales that he will tell:)

I hope you guys will have lots of fun! Let me know where you are going. I will see if I can send you a map indicating some old buildings or abandoned mines.

Here is a map for you PE guys. If you ever wana drive out there:)
the best bet is to ask the old guys in the area if they can remember such old buildings. Many of the old guys actually do. Best to print a map or take a map with you so they can point it out. Also keep in mind that many of the roads have changed. Sometimes the old road is a mare 20 meters from the new one... Good luck and if you make great finds, please let all your friends know that I have these maps.

Hi Tommy. Gary Reick is coming from EL and he did mention that he would be bringing a friend so it must be your father in law..lol. I dont know about any prizes or it being a national competition otherwise we'll have the whole of PE detecting. We going to do some beach detecting so lets see how it goes.
