Hi Guys and Girls

Although he has not introduced himself yet, i would like to welcome Wilhelm to our community who joined in today. He is a colleague of TomCat and Me and actually introduced me to the hobby last year. Some of you met him at the GoMinelabbing event.

Hi Wilhelm. Welcome, I see you are from Cullinan so you are right in the middle of old historic sites. Just a pity that they have not invented the diamond detector yet... :)
I do it the metal detecter way - swing it around like I just don't care.

Hi Guys,

Thank you for the welcoming, it is appreciated.

What a relief to be part of a forum where I can place those dug items that I consider to be "ooparts"   I have been detecting for almost a year now and spent most of the time on one farm in the Cullinan area. The yield varies from a Canadian cap badge (32 Regiment ) to a North Staffordshire Regiment badge as well as GSB (KC) buttons, Great Seal Buttons worn by the US military and silver coins dating back to 1895. I am truly baffled.

Regards

Wilhelm
Many happy hunts.
