Ok so hi all. I am Zak I just got myself a Garrett Ace 250 sports pack it arrives in the morning and I am looking forward to giving it a swing. I live in George in the South Cape and cant wait to hit the beaches.

If any detectors end up in the area be sure to get in touch.

Spent several hours last night on a local beach. But most of my local conditions change so owften and radically that its so difficult to find those places where things get deposited. Still managed to bad a grand total of R5 a fish hook and swivel hair clip some bottle-tops and some other odd things and my first jewellery..... Fake jewellery that is but a bangle and an earring so I am still positive...

And last night low and behold we hit gold... a tiny 9ct ring but gold none the less... 8)
