Been messing a round with kydex ,a thermo formable plastic used in the car industry and decided to make up a sheath for my digging knife and pinpointer..

Its fantastic stuff ,you could wear it upside down and the fit is so neat that the knife will stay put!....gonna make a spade sheath for the digger 5000 next!

Practical solution from a practical guy, looks good Tony.
I recently got my hands on a Garrett Retriever 2 hand pick and must still find a convenient way of carrying it. It has a mean point and sharp corners.

How did you make the sheath for the pinpointer and attach it to the digger sheath?

That was machined on a lathe and milling machine and was simpll attached with self tappers .I had made the pinpointer sheath a while back and so decided to re use it .You could however incoporate both tools in the kydex sheath you just have to load the mould fast ! As the hot kydex cools rapidly
