Title: Unsure to buy metal detector

Hallo-hallo Everyone!

I've been doing my research on what kind of metal detector would  best suite my needs and still don't have an answer.

My biggest challenge is the following: buy one, spending R12 000 and after a month or so, I realize this isn't for me.

Do you know of anyone where I can hire one for a couple of bucks a day to test it out, possibly over this coming long weekend as my husband is going hunting and I'll have some time in the veld.

contact Minelab SA, they are in Zambezi drive in Pretoria.
I don't know if they hire out detectors, but they should be able to help you with advice

Would you say a Safari is a good all round machine?

the Safari is a good machine albeit quite an intricate one, and might be a bit on the heavy side.
maybe you should look at the xterra 705. a good all round machine. from the bush to the beach
