Title: Minelab E-trac first time out
Post by: Tony Curnick on May 21, 2015, 08:54 PM
Ok..so I charged the battery, assembled the machine which is takes about 5 seconds as the design is out of this world!...chucked the manual back into the box without even so much as reading the first page....Hit a potential site and dug a ton of trash!!!....Went back...got the manual out and read it as I should have done in the first place ..Shot  back out to the same spot and came to the realisation that A dummy was holding a very cleaver machine....This machine rocks!!!.....Its in a class of its own,the discrimination is incredible as it uses two scales to help to ID finds....The display kicks out two numbers for every target, the first number indicates the ferrous content and the second number shows the conductivity of your target based on the two values you can determine whether to dig or not to dig ...I didn't have much time to test as reading the manual had taken up a fair amount of time but I am sure the E-trac and I will become friends and I promise to bring it with for the next Go Minelabbing day....I now have 4 Minelab products and I would recommend them Anyday ....watch this space for the first decent find after the dummy understands what all the buttons do!!!
